Rouletabille is a company that offers web, mobile, expertise and hybrid developments in geomatics and crowdsourcing and develops in-house projects like the MonWagon platform.
Do you need to migrate from Google Map to another alternative? Build a delivery app? An information platform for public transport? Geospatial analytics or developments?
Our team will no doubt meet your demands. Contact us!
The company has been created by Manuel Jacquinet (CEO) in 2018
The Rouletabille team are passionate experts in geomatics and crowdsourcing and are highly adept in the several technologies and domains listed below :
We are expert with MapboxJS, Mapbox GL JS and Mapbox services. We are also able to produce your own vector tile server (GL style) or raster (PNG) compatible with MapboxGL JS, OpenLayers or even Leaflet.
We are familiar with the Google Map service and its API. We are particularly good at migrating the Google Map API to a competing solution.
OpenLayers is the most comprehensive framework for web and advanced mapping. This is our favorite development environment and we are expert from version 3 to the latest version. Leaflet is a bit less complete than OpenLayers, but it has non-trivial benefits such as its fast learning, rich community and many plugins, etc.
We often use the OpenStreetMap service and most of the possible use cases with these data (Overpass API, Freemium / Premium Tile Server, Private Server Setup, Consulting, etc.).
We are specialized and expert in mobility IT (road / rail / bike) and especially public transport. We can carry out a meal delivery application, build your itinerary network (OSRM, etc), set up your own passenger information server for public transport, manage and make available your theoretical transport data in the information system, etc.
Several experiences have led us to deeply explore the maritime realm, which turns out to be almost a world apart by its richness, complexity and small community. (API & Tools for ENC, S-57 Standard, Distance/Surface Computing, Innovations, etc.)
We can realize various geospatial processing with the help of some technologies like OpenMapTiles (Model and Open-Source Vector Tile Server compatible with the Mapbox GL Style), Uber H3 (Hexagonal Hierarchical Geospatial Indexing System), CartoDB for data presentation etc.
As you may have understood, we are naturally specialists in JavaScript. The versatility of this language is in our eyes its main strength : reponsive website/webapp, mobile application (hybrid), desktop app (hybrid), backend and probably many other arguments that we forget. To do this, what's better than Angular (version 1 to the latest version), Ionic (version 1 to the latest version), Cordova, NodeJS and PostgreSQL + PostGIS for any self-respecting geomatician or other database more adapted to your problems.
